Sarita Handa recently opened her retail store in Delhi, India. Sarita Handa specialises in bedding and fabrics retailing internationally with brands like Pottery Barn, Macy’s, Zara Home & Bloomingdales. With her retail store Sarita Handa introduces a luxurious bath collection from Turkey and bath products from French brand Lothaniques ‘Amelie & Melanie.’
We loved the simplicity and elegance of the store. Designed by Delhi based designer Amit Chabra. The entrance, signage and wooden fixtures have been made using recycled, reclaimed sleeper wood. Anything recycled beautifully gets 5 stars from us instantly. The stacked up school chairs in different hues is adorable. The unique part of the store is that every fixture is movable, on wheels. So dont be surprised the next time you walk in, the store looks renovated.
Industrial lights hang down from the ceiling adding warmth. Combined with industrial floor lamps it illuminates the store beautifully. Try Designdeal.com for these industrial lights. Popular prints have been framed and scattered around the store. A very good DIY for those extra meters of fabric left behind. Also try it with wallpaper. Make the frame in the same colour as the paper or fabric.

Drawing inspiration from the colours of their New Fall 2012 Collection. Tangerine Tango (Remember Pantones colour of the year 2012!) seems to be used in just the right amount together with neutral tones. See the new collection below. The collection was inspired by the patterns of Chateau Gavtes done by French nuns along with antique lace.
The antique sewing machine, pickle jars & old world maps framed to give the store a well travelled look. Shop here and you’ll definitely feel life in a French Chateau!
