An extension of the MAISON & OBJET trade fair, Paris Design Week provides an international grounds to young and blooming talent in design. Featuring everything from furniture and home décor to fashion, art and even gastronomy, it invites the mass to explore the year’s newest collections and prototypes. Organized across Paris and comprising over 180 venues, including some of the city’s premier exhibition spaces (art galleries, museums and cultural institutes, like La Maison Rouge, 104 and the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature) as well as concept stores and even hotels and restaurants, the week-long design ‘itinerary’ is free of charge, inviting the public to discover the year’s newest collections and prototypes taking a broad-based view of design and its various aspects.
A design event like never before but with as usual characteristics that rejuvenates experiences, brings forth emerging consumer trends and brand offers while introducing new sections with already existing sections of ‘Maison’ dealing with interior decoration and ‘Objet’ with concept and retail while the section ‘Influences’ takes care of luxury, design and architecture. This beautiful collaboration is a mere platform to discover the best of design every year.
