Habitare returns from September 2 to 6, 2026, as the leading furniture, design, and interiors event in the Nordics, welcoming design professionals, enthusiasts, and over 500 companies and organisations. Habitare 2026 embraces the theme ‘Plot Twists,’ exploring living environments as evolving stories rather than fixed outcomes. The theme encourages adaptability, unpredictability, and openness, highlighting how unexpected moments, material choices, or spatial shifts can redefine a home’s character and function.

Guided by Creative Advisor Päivi Helander, Habitare 2026 places emphasis on flexible, human-centred design, where spaces, materials, and structures respond to changing needs and inspire curiosity. The programme invites designers, brands, and visitors to engage with interiors as living, evolving narratives, valuing exploration over control. Through workshops, exhibitions, and presentations, Habitare demonstrates how design can be resilient, playful, and transformative—celebrating the beauty of chance, the power of adaptability, and the unexpected potential within every space.
