Bringing together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world, Design Miami/ is a celebration of design culture and commerce. The show occurs alongside the Art Basel fairs in Miami and Switzerland, and while the latter limits itself to fine art, the former showcases collectable art and architecture.

Campana Brothers for Kaws

The 14th edition of Design Miami/ featured work from nearly 35 galleries, including Humberto and Fernando Campana’s collaboration with Kaws for limited-edition versions of their signature soft-toy seats(a Pharell favourite), a mixed reality installation by Lexus titled ‘The Future Is Limitless’ and a six-sided table designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1949. Russia-born designer Harry Nuriev’s office-inspired installation was a critique of the corporate – a statement on the loss of identity. Maison Perrier-Jouët commissioned Bethan Laura Wood to create an installation embodying the essence of Art Nouveau. She designed a prismatic tree installation named HyperNature – whose curves, petals and colours were inspired by a journey to Champagne several months ago. Here is our round-up of these pieces and more that caught our attention at Design Miami/ –
