Our recent task at hand has been to curate the best home stores and must see design locations across the country. A new idea we are exploring with a travel information company. To give the country’s ultimate design map. Through the process we discovered, Les Parisiennes. Our love with french design, their idea of the delicate and quaint has influenced our design sensibilities to a great extent. Les Parisiennes is a chic vintage boudoir nestled in a haveli in Shahpur Jat, New Delhi. A vision of Woody Allen’s, Midnight in Paris, Owen Wilson strolling from one parlor to another each night. Catherine Prakash & Lucie Salaun, the founders, started the store focussed on woman’s clothing and apparel. After the overwhelming response, they grew into a concept store, by adding a small cafe and including a carefully curated line of home accessories.
The cafe sits in the centre of the space, spilling into different rooms. Sticking to the look and feel, you will find florals, wrought iron trellis patterns, pastels and everything “pretty”. No graphics, in your eye colors, or anything bling! Not playing too much with the original space, the walls and some of the grills from the haveli have been maintained. White washed walls against stark black furniture add a monotone letting the products speak for themselves. The packaging with black ribbons tying up everything is a nice touch. The hand cut glass decanters is a must have. Tell us what you loved the most or just had to buy when you do visit the store! Till then, Au Revoir!
