Hello Tokyo! the initiative by Radhika Gupta, Moon River, Delhi. Moon River brings us traditional crafts in conjunction with new design. Sourcing crafts from Benares, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Burma, Bangladesh and now Japan. Radhika Gupta supports these highly skilled craftsman by giving them a large platform to showcase their tradition and skill. Visit them and see the story behind each piece. From Vintage Spanish to Indian & now Japanese crafts are available.
Ask Radhika Gupta what helps her curate, she says, ” I look out for nice, clean lines, the detailing in each piece is very important to me. I focus on designs where modern design meets classical. Neutral colors with metallic accents works perfectly together.”

We love the Hello Tokyo Collection with its inspiration from tradition Japanese decor. The school of fish would look adorable near a small water fountain or the entrance of a door. It is said to be very lucky to place fish at the entrance especially stores. The Tansu Chest form the Edo period is an exceptional collectors piece. Covered in exquisite hand dyed shagreen leather with metal handles and fixtures. A personal favourite! The wire lamp and stool are beautiful when you are playing with metallics. Dont stick to one metallic tone. Mix it up! Use other tones like metallic reds, blue and greens. Think beyond gold, silver and bronze. Dont go crazy though you dont want end up with House of Bling!
