Entrance

Parallel Minds is a fresh, clean and happy, Ad Production Office in Bandra, Mumbai. An office space where work seems like your dancing to Pharell. Designed by Manmeet Arora of Left of Centre and shot by the photographer to the designers, Kunal Bhatia. Manmeet Arora has taken this tiny space and opened it up with the basics, color, glass and ample natural light. The client brief was simple, to have the space ready in 15 days, keeping in mind the space was rented. Cleverly thought through, quick and easy solutions were applied to get everything up and running. Laminated wooden flooring, wallpapers, rugs, up cycled furniture all used to make a quick set up. The furniture was all essentially movable, making for a quick get a way, if ever required.

Greeted at the entrance by a clapboard printed with Mr. P brain, the company mascot! The Assistant directors work spaces are single simple desks affixed into the wall. A ladder up cycled into shelves for files and papers, says bye bye to mundane modular furniture. Going with that train of thought, choosing bright yellow Tolix chairs instead of dreary office chairs. Columns have been painted in a soft color keeping our favourite, Mr P Brain in mind. He adds a speckle of humor in the graphics. The meeting table has been furnished out of cycle wheels accompanied by our favourite Tolix Chairs in a pistachio green. Bold striped, monochrome wallpaper from a local vendor along with art prints from Kulture Shop makes for a stark background to the informal meeting area.

The left hand side cabin for the producer styled with minimum furniture and clutter. White sketchy graphic wallpaper on the back wall takes you into a whimsical world. The directors informal meeting goes Mad Men retro with a checkered wallpaper styled with refurnished teak sofas and coffee table. Actually it reminds us of an apt quote for the space by Don Draper, “Make it simple, but significant”
