trending colours at maison & objet!

Last time we spoke about neon making a come back. This year at Maison et Objet we saw alot of designers using bright colours in their furniture. The pairing of wood with brightly coloured lacquer materials. Skilled craftsmanship with the solid colours got quite a few eyeballs. We’ve put together the three brands that caught our eye.

The Hansen Family is a small furniture producer that uses ecologically grown wood selected by hand. Showcasing their remix collection, which also tells you their inspiration. The desk was the stand out piece for me. A fun desk to work on. Would worker much harder if I had this.

The colors and trend is more evident in Case Furniture. The colour stands out a mile away. Making you look into whats happening. It gives you an illusion of 2 pieces put together. Warm yellow LED strips inside illuminate the piece. Make the coloured part look like a floating object. Not only tactile and aesthetically pleasing but also perfect when it comes to form and functionality.

Hay is a very popular Danish brand. The lightest wood used with the neon yellow. Making it a brightness spot in any room. Place it in a spot with lots of sunlight and the whole space will radiate. Also the perfect accent piece to a range of pastels or nude. Definitely a statement maker.
Go ahead and start refurbishing those old pieces. Add colour to your spaces!
