We recently found these and were blown. What do you get when an architect teams up with a fashion label to create an iconic shoe? That’s right: a space shoe! World-renowned architect Zaha Hadid recently teamed up with Rem Koolhaas’ label United Nude to create a limited edition haute couture shoe with an architectural design. How galactic do these babies look?

The shoe, named ‘NOVA’, is made by using a rotation molding method to create seamless detailing. The upper part of the shoe is made of metallic chromed vinyl rubber, lined with high quality kid nappa leathers. The platform and heel are composed of fiberglass. And the outer sole is made of rubber, which is assumed to prevent slipping (if you could even walk in these). The 6.25 inch heel gives the illusion of an unsupported heel but is said to feel like a regular heel.

“I have always appreciated those who dare to experiment with materials and proportions. Our collaboration with United Nude reinterprets the classic shoe typology; pushing the boundaries of what is possible without compromising integrity,” Zaha Hadid explains.

These are still available at Luisaviaroma a luxury shopping site for a swopping price of € 1,500. What outfit would you wear with them? or put them up as Art?
