Forest Essentials opens a standalone store in London’s iconic shopping district – Covent Garden. The ayurvedic beauty brand joins the growing list of luxury Indian retailers that are responding to global demands and launching flagship showrooms overseas. This is Forest Essentials’ first international store, aiming to bring coveted Indian beauty treatments and ancient Ayurvedic rituals to the West.

Designed by Paris-based agency, Centdegres, the store is a blend of modern British sensibilities and Indian artisan aesthetics. Natural stone walls with an iconic slope-like roof pays homage to their award-winning Lodsi Factory, nestled below the Himalayas, from where the brand sources its ingredients. In the interiors, a map of India showcasing organs of cold pressed oils (which form the base of many Forest Essentials products), a display unit inspired by ancient Ayurvedic apothecary cabinets, and a gold-veined consultation table that reflects the shape of the Ganga river take center stage.

As part of their global expansion plans, Forest Essentials has worked in conjunction with the Estée Lauder Group of Companies. “It has been a dream of mine to see Forest Essentials open a store in the U.K., one of the most dynamic beauty markets in the West. We have been thrilled by the response to the brand so far and we look forward to welcoming consumers to become a part of the Forest Essentials’ experience that we create within our stores,” says founder Mira Kulkarni.
