Design Shanghai returns for its 13th edition from March 19 to 22, 2026, at the historic Shanghai Exhibition Centre. Recognised as Asia’s leading international design event, the show will present over 500 design brands from more than 20 countries and regions, reaffirming its role as a vital bridge between Asian creativity and global design dialogue. The 2026 edition unfolds across four core sectors: Furniture & Lighting; Kitchen, Bathroom & Systems Design; New Materials & Applications; and Living & Lifestyle, offering a comprehensive view of contemporary design.
Alongside its main sectors, Design Shanghai 2026 features a robust curated programme including TALENTS, spotlighting emerging designers under 35; Made in JDZ, exploring contemporary craft rooted in Jingdezhen; Beyond Craft, examining the modern relevance of traditional Asian craftsmanship; Collectible Design & Art, dedicated to limited-edition works across art and design; and Materials First, an interactive materials lab curated by Chris Lefteri. Anchoring the fair are two major forums—the KOHLER Design Shanghai Global Design Conference and the CMF Conference—while the city-wide Design initiative extends the festival across Shanghai with installations, exhibitions, and talks.
