Design POV Charts The New Pulse Of Indian Interiors This June

Design POV arrives in Mumbai with a design showcase this June, where 19 leading design studios reinterpret the future of interiors through spatial storytelling, collaborations, and conceptual installations.

Design fairs have long shaped how we perceive, produce, and participate in the creative world. They have evolved from product-centric showcases to immersive experiences that spark dialogue, foster collaboration, and influence the very language of interiors. Design POV arrives in Mumbai this June, transforming the city into a crucible of design thought. Transpiring at the Jio World Convention Centre from 27th to 29th June, this curated design show is a reflection of the future of Indian design. Driven by Tabu and Elite Building Materials (EBM), and in collaboration with Birla Opus Paints—Design Partner—the event is set to push past the conformist norms into a more immersive, conceptual, and collaborative effort.

Beyond The Booth

At the heart of Design POV lies a radical rethink of the conventional showcase—one that trades static displays for sensory depth and storytelling. At Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, 19 of India’s eminent architecture and design studios are invited to sculpt an 800 sq-ft blank canvas, weaving a story of timeless craft and visionary design. The walkthroughs will be crafted around the theme, ‘Echoes of Tomorrow,’ an exploration brought to life in collaboration with India’s most distinguished luxury furniture brands and their material innovation.

The curated roster features a directory of design’s finest voices—Atrey & Associates (Arun Sharma), Cityspace’ 82 Architects (Sumit Dhawan), Design Doodle (Maha K & Vijay Kumar), Design Studio (Ameet Mirpuri), Gayathri and Namith Architects (Gayathri Shetty & Namith Varma), Hiren Patel Architects (Hiren Patel), Purple Backyard (Kumpal Vaid), Quirk Studio (Disha Bhavsar & Shivani Ajmera), Red Architects (Rajiv Parekh, Ekta Parekh, Maithili Raut), Rohit Bhoite House of Design (Rohit Bhoite), Sona Reddy Studio (Sona Reddy), Spaces & Design (Pooja Bihani), Spaces + Objects (Sanjyt Syngh), Studio Design Inc (Khusboo & Kunal Khandelwal), Studio Nishita Kamdar (Nishita Kamdar), Sumessh Menon Associates (Sumessh Menon), Talati & Partners LLP (Amit Surve), and The BNK Group (Behzad Kharas). With their signature language, each studio will craft a distinct narrative that envisions the future of Indian design with bold imagination and refined expertise. “The idea of walking through a designer’s thought process rather than just observing it felt fresh and impactful,” shares architect Pooja Bihani of Spaces & Design. These installations will unfold as three-dimensional essays rich with nostalgia, materiality, and craftsmanship, inviting tactile storytelling and ingenious concepts that redefine the very essence of an exhibition experience.

 An Encounter With Gallant Ideas

Design POV stands at the vibrant crossroads between India’s leading home and interior brands and trailblazing design studios to reshape the design narrative. With renowned names like Wriver, Colosseum, Sunroof, Swamy Marmo, House of Edwa, House of W, Embellish, Casa Walls, Soch Design Studio, Woven Legacy, Hybec, and Pink Coyote, this exhibition serves as an immersive platform for collaboration. Here, brands become co-creators, intricately weaving culture, craftsmanship, and innovation into the very fabric of India’s design industry. “It’s not just a showcase but a dialogue between design, business, and innovation,” reveals Bihani.

In Pursuit Of A Deeper Meaning

In a landscape where design events often exhibit the predictable, Design POV emerges as a revelation, eschewing static displays for sensorial storytelling, immersive environments, and mindfully crafted experiences. This unique approach focuses not just on the ‘what,’ but on the deeper ‘why’ of design. It’s an invitation to step into the minds of designers, where concept meets craft and every spatial element tells a tale.
