As part of the Mumbai Light Festival, Floating Canvas Company (FCC) presents ASCENSION, an immersive projection mapping experience that transforms the historic Afghan Church into a canvas of light, colour, and celestial imagery. Inspired by a fascination with the cosmos, the installation responds to the church’s Gothic arches, stained glass, and architectural details, creating shifting compositions that illuminate the heritage structure.

Designed to encourage a closer look at Mumbai’s architectural legacy, ASCENSION places technology in dialogue with history, inviting visitors to experience a familiar landmark through a new lens. The project forms part of FCC’s wider commitment to bringing art, design, and technology into cultural and public spaces.
