The London Art Fair, founded in 1989 at London’s Business Design Centre, serves as a prominent platform for showcasing exceptional Modern and Contemporary Art. Starting with 36 UK galleries, it has grown to host over 100 galleries and attract 25,000 visitors annually. While maintaining a focus on Modern British Art, the fair embraces an international and contemporary perspective, featuring galleries from around the world. Notable sales have included works by artists like Andy Warhol and David Hockney. The fair supports talent at all levels, with a diverse lineup ranging from emerging artists to established names. It features curated talks, panel discussions, and insights, along with curated spaces like Encounters, Photo50, and Platform. Each year, the fair partners with a regional museum, and in 2024, it will collaborate with Charleston to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
